The Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) established in 1965, represents the research-based global pharmaceutical companies in India. OPPI has been an integral part of the healthcare journey of the country. In March 2023, we launched one of our most inspiring initiatives – Bharat Ke Liye. This mission aims to encapsulate the essence of OPPI’s commitment towards helping create a healthier tomorrow for every Indian and to highlight that we have been an integral part of India’s healthcare journey. Meeting the most pressing patient requirements, delivering on unmet medical needs, promising reach and reliability…while delivering excellence at every touchpoint. This is our legacy and our promise for the future.

At the heart of OPPI's mission lies the continuous pursuit of innovative solutions that propel medical science in the right direction: creating more equitable healthcare, enhancing quality of life, and nurturing sustainable solutions to reduce the disease burden. OPPI’s ‘Value of Innovation’ initiative aims to shine the spotlight on the breakthroughs brought about by such innovation. This four-phase long-running campaign not just perfectly highlights the importance of R&D in the industry and showcase how breakthrough advancements contribute to improving healthcare outcomes, ultimately benefiting every patient but also spread knowledge about these innovations and share the course charted by our members to surpass this success in the future.

OPPI’s #Care4Rare initiative offers valuable insights into rare diseases, including their symptoms, causes, and available treatments. This initiative is further strengthened by the organization’s advocacy efforts in this area.
Through this series, we aim to raise awareness and educate others about these often-overlooked, life-threatening conditions, mitigating the disease management process.

Uniform Code of Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices 2024 (UCPMP)
The Department of Pharmaceuticals (“DoP”) has implemented a Uniform Code for Pharmaceutical Marketing Practices 2024 (“UCPMP”) that governs ethical marketing practices for pharmaceutical companies. Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI) endeavors to promote the highest professional and ethical standards.
OPPI has adopted and implemented the UCPMP to enforce its commitment to conduct drug promotion and marketing activities in the utmost ethical manner and compliance with law in letter and spirit.
